Joan Johnston and Joanna Crilly are available to give lessons or clinics at your facility.  For details regarding fees, contact us through the web site.  As well as mounted lessons, if you would like us to give any of the following clinics at your farm, we can do that too. 

The following schedule is for 2008  clinics at Kars Riding School:

Educate Your Eyes:   April 27/08, 1-4pm  Cost: $35.00 (includes refreshments)
An informal and humorous Educate Your Eye clinic.  There will be demonstrations of correct and incorrect riding & training; horses on and off the bit; half halts (what are half halts?) as they should and shouldn't be ridden; transitions ridden on and off the forehand etc. etc.

Video Clinic:   July 20/08, 1 - 4pm:  Cost: $75.00 includes riding instruction on video (on a KRS horse), video review and analysis as well as refreshments.  The cost is the same if you trailer in but a stall is provided while you take part in the classroom review.

Show grooming Clinic:  On request  Cost: $35.00

Learn how to:

• Bath in hot and colder weather
• Trim ears, muzzle and fetlocks
• Pull and braid manes
• Condition and polish feet
• Make a show day checklist

 Bring your pen and paper, mane comb, some wool, scissors and a clothes peg.

Freestyle Clinic (valid for coaches' updating hours)  on request:  9-5pm   for riders just getting started along the way to riding a freestyle as well as those wanting to improve their performance.  This clinic will also be interesting and very educational for coaches who have students wanting to ride a freestyle.  Cost: $100.00  includes lunch, refreshments and educational material.

Learn how to:

• Have much more fun in the dressage ring
• time your horse's gaits
• tell whether the music is also the correct timing
• Edit your music in a way that will impress the judges (and everyone else)
• film your pattern
• Understand the rules for your level
• design choreography
• plan your entrance and much more.

Minimum of 8 and maximum of 15 participants
